4. NeoLex

NEOLEX (Neologism, Lexicology and Lexicography)– funded by CNRS, CRLAO-INALCO (May - September 2025)

Project description The NéoLex project focuses on contrastive lexicology and the study of neologisms (the creation of new words) in a multilingual and intercultural context, particularly between Chinese and Vietnamese. The project ultimately aims to integrate additional Asian languages. NéoLex combines traditional linguistic approaches with advanced artificial intelligence (AI) and natural language processing (NLP) tools to analyze the creation, diffusion, and evolution of neologisms. The goal is to develop innovative digital resources, including an interactive dictionary and a structured lexical database.
